The Lafayette College Public Safety Department uses security cameras and Closed-Circuit TV (CCTV) in public spaces and open locations, including streets, sidewalks, plazas, building common areas, and parking lots.

Public Safety’s standard operating procedures ensure lawful and proper use of cameras and CCTV. The College also has a duty to use reasonable care to protect the physical safety of those on campus. Surveillance systems deter crime, reduce risk, and offer protection for key campus assets, including many public sculptures.
