First Aid Kits and Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs)
All Public Safety vehicles are equipped with First Aid Kits and AED units, to ensure officers are prepared to provide an initial response before Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) arrive to the scene of a medical emergency.
EHS reviews and monitors inventory of First Aid Kit supplies, and conducts regular testing and maintenance of AED units.
EHS also supports inspection, maintenance and testing of emergency oxygen supply tanks both in Public Safety vehicles and within the Kirby Sports Center.
