The College has several partnerships to assist in the provision of transportation both the immediate area and throughout the Lehigh Valley. We encourage students not to drive whenever possible and to utilize these no cost options.
The LCAT shuttle provides transportation on campus. The shuttle is currently operated by Easton Coach Company and runs most days during the academic year. LCAT service is not available over summer or other school breaks. The LCAT shuttle offers transportation between Lafayette’s main campus and the Arts campus. Routes/schedules may be viewed on our website or at the live online tracking system.
The new shuttle fleet are ADA accessible and will be marked, equipped with exterior digital signage, Ride Systems GPS tracking, emergency kits and bicycle racks.
A partnership between the College and the Lehigh and Northampton Transit Authority (LANTA) provides transportation at no cost to current students, faculty and staff. LANTA Bus service operates 363 days a year and provides reliable and consistent access to the Easton Bus Terminal, with stops along Cattell Street on College Hill as well as the Giant Plaza and Weis Market in Forks Township using Route Number 214. In addition to these routes, members of the Lafayette community may board any LANTA Bus, making the entire Lehigh Valley accessible.
LANTA is expanding our mobile fare payment platform to improve transit pass distribution for Lafayette College!

In addition, departments/organizations that would like to reserve a 24-passenger shuttle, for a special event, through Easton Coach Company can do so by completing our on-line Shuttle Request form. You will be contacted by a member of the Easton Coach staff to confirm your reservation. There is a four hour minimum and ten day advance for requests. Please be sure to enter the appropriate account numbers so that your department will be charged at the new negotiated rate of 69.00 per hour (276.00 minimum charge) and allow plenty of lead time to book the reservation.
The College has contracted pricing through Enterprise Car Rentals. To find out about availability and price, you may contact Enterprise at (610) 253-7599. Prior to each rental, the Enterprise Rental Car Authorization Form for Student Drivers must be completed with the account to be charged and signed by the Office of Student Life Programs (for student organization activities) or by an academic Department Head (for academic activities). All the information on the form is required including dates of rental and return and drivers’ names. Student Life or the academic department will send the form to the Procurement Office so approval can be given to Enterprise to release the vehicle. Enterprise will not release the vehicle until the form is received in Procurement.
