Emergency Response

Actions carried out immediately before, during, and immediately after a hazard impact, are aimed at saving lives, reducing economic losses, and alleviating suffering.  Response actions may include activating our Crisis Management Team (CMT)/Crisis Communications Team (CCT) and/or the following commands:

Shelter-in-Place

Evacuate

Avoid an Area

Lockdown

Run, Hide, Fight

Our goal is to educate the campus community on emergency response and to provide tools to help you think clearly and act quickly in the face of an emergency.  Contact Public Safety at (610) 330-5330 if interested in the following training:

  • Run, Hide, Fight training session (in-person or virtual).
  • Run, Hide, Fight video/on-line training is available on our Emergency Procedures page.
  • Community – Adult CPR/AED training offered twice/year as advertised in Lafayette Today.
